Is Your Future In Someone Else’s Hands?

Like it or not the future of your work is being created today. Most believe that this future is out of their hands (and out of their control). But nothing could be farther from the truth. You can, quite literally, create the future of your work …at any point in time, at any age…if you know how.

Am I kidding you? Or am I crazy?

Neither one! While nearly everyone feels that their work future is out of their control and that they are either the victim or beneficiary of good choices (often made early in life), the choice is always in your hands and within your control…to a degree.

To what degree?

Surprisingly for the hundreds and hundreds of people with whom I have spoken and who have attended my in-person and teleseminars the degree of control you have is much greater than you might imagine.

You don’t need to have a crystal ball. You don’t need to be able to predict trends, fashions and fads. As a matter of fact, if you are 17 years old (or older) your history is the key to your future (The more history, the clearer the pattern and the GREATER your chances for making the right choices and living the strong life.). Your patterns of thought and themes of talent can almost literally predict your degree of success…NO MATTER WHAT FIELD!

Those of you over 45, with careers in transition, and wondering what you should do with the rest of your life, PAY ATTENTION!

You do not have to be a prisoner any longer of the career decisions you made in high school, when you didn’t know any better. (Would you take career guidance from a teenager today?) The career choices you made as a teenager or young adult are not set in stone. You can break free from your former career trap.

This is good news for those of you who are now being forced to reassess your future due to downsizing or other economic factors!

The process of mature job change and career choice is 100% in your hands. All you need it to understand five things:

1.      Your intrinsic talents and how to convert them into strengths

2.      How your strengths have contributed to ALL your past successes

3.      How to discover today’s fields and opportunities that need your strengths

4.      How to market your strengths to decision-makers in those fields, and

5.      How to live the strong life.

These things are not being taught elsewhere. They are not part of any curriculum, because they are counter-cultural. But they are not counter-intuitive. When you learn them you’ll immediately say, “I should have known this all along!” But, don’t feel bad, very few people understand the concept of a strong life and of succeeding on all levels by being themselves.

Read on through the Creating the Future of Work website. Start anywhere. Explore the possibilities. Read the articles. Follow the links. And begin to believe that you can lead the successful life you were born to lead.

A NOTE FOR SKEPTICS AND DOUBTERS

Those of you who are truly skeptical, who believe that success is achieved ONLY through hard work, goal setting, modeling, and following someone else’s rules should leave this site and forget everything I’ve said. You won’t believe you can succeed without working hard to overcome your weaknesses and achieve balance. You won’t understand how to live the life you were meant to live without slavish obedience to everyone else’s rules.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO BELIEVE IN POSSIBILITIES

All the rest of you, you who believe that you really can be yourself and succeed (After all, haven’t you been killing yourself and your spirit for years obeying THEIR rules and THEIR SYSTEMS?) will enjoy what you read and begin to see the possibilities.

The choice is yours:
